Global Understanding

Our signature program, Global Understanding, is a semester long, multi-lateral, multidisciplinary course. Bi-weekly synchronous video conference discussions, chats, and collaborative student projects provide personal, global experiences that promotes cross-cultural understanding as students build intercultural communication and collaboration skills.

Global BEEHIVE

Our most recent initiative is The Global Business, Education, Environment, and Health International Virtual Exchange (Global BEEHIVE) project. Global BEEHIVE is a set of four topic-specific courses that build upon the proven, award-winning Global Understanding model. These courses are made possible by a US Department of Education Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Language (UISFL) grant.

Global Courses

In our Global Courses, faculty from two or more partner institutions work together to develop and co-teach sustained, project-based, collaborative courses on a specific topic within the same or complementary disciplines. Each course is uniquely based on the needs and interests of the partners involved. Current Global Courses include Global Leadership and Global English.

WorldWise Student Organization

WorldWise is a global student organization with chapters at participating partner institutions. This organization allows students to continue their cross-cultural interactions beyond the classroom. Student leaders from each participating chapter collaboratively decide globally significant monthly topics that the organizations will explore both locally and with their assigned partner chapter.

GPE Annual Conference

Each year, Global Partners in Education holds an annual conference hosted by one of our partner institutions around the world. At the conference, participants share research and best practices, network with fellow participants to further internationalization efforts on their home campuses, introduce new initiatives, and discuss ways to improve existing programs.

Global Issues Conference

The Global Issues Conference is a virtual student and faculty research conference that is organized in collaboration with Krosno State College, a GPE member institution located in Krosno, Poland. Over one week, students and faculty from GPE partner institutions present and discuss their original research with their colleagues from around the world to get an international perspective on their work.

GPE World Interactive Story Map

GPE World is a series of interactive multi-media story maps providing popular, historical, and societal information about each of the countries where GPE partner institutions are located. Partner institutions and their students regularly use this project to help prepare for working with their partners.
