From our base in the city of Tours, we will visit the surrounding region of the Loire Valley and its historic Châteaux, and enjoy guided tours of a vineyard and winery as well as visiting DaVinci’s residence at the Clos Lucé.
From our base in the city of Tours, we will visit the surrounding region of the Loire Valley and its historic Châteaux, and enjoy guided tours of a vineyard and winery as well as visiting DaVinci’s residence at the Clos Lucé.
We will visit the Chenonceau castle, famous for is architecture straddling the Cher river, and also for its formal gardens and hedge maze.
The Chambord castle is one of the most impressive in the Loire Valley. We will enjoy a catered picnic lunch on the castle grounds.
The Loire Valley is a renowned wine-producing region, known for a variety of red, white, and sparkling wines, such as Chinon, Saumur-Champigny, and Vouvray.
We will have a guided tour of the vineyards and winery of the Caves du Père Auguste, including a wine tasting.
Located in the historic city of Amboise, The Clos Lucé is a historic manor which was Leonardo DaVinci’s final residence. Today the manor and its grounds house a museum dedicated to DaVinci’s life, as well as full-scale replicas of his many inventions.
