Cultural Field Seminar

The cultural field seminar is designed to contribute to the understanding of Colombian culture, allowing for participants to interact with local communities that have contributed to the country’s history, culture, customs and traditions.

May 16 – 18, 2019

  • Single Room: $450 USD
  • Double Room: $340 USD
Includes:
  • 3 nights accommodation
    • Additional nights are available for the equivalent of 220,000 Colombian Pesos (currently approximately $70) to be paid directly to the hotel. This can be paid in USD.
  • Breakfasts and most lunches (Dinners on your own)

  • Cultural Activities and entrance fees
Itinerary Highlights (subject to change)
  • On Thursday, stroll through the historic La Candelaria neighborhood and visit the famed Gold Museum that holds the largest collection of pre-Colombian gold artifacts in the world.
  • On Friday, visit the Parque de la Sal which features, among other things the Cathedral of Zipaquirá, a Roman Catholic church built within a salt mine.
  • On Saturday, have lunch overlooking the city atop Monserrat, the highest point in Bogota, and visit Simon Bolivar’s home which now serves as a museum dedicated to his life and legacy.
