GPE X, 2017

10th Annual Global Partners in Education Conference
May 15-17, 2017, Greenville, NC USA

East Carolina University is excited to host the 10th Annual Global Partners in Education Conference. The theme of this year’s conference will be the intersection of Global Education and Regional Economic Development. We invite teachers, technical support personnel, students and administrators from GPE partner institutions around the world and other interested parties to join us at East Carolina University, in Greenville, North Carolina May 15 – 17, 2017 for this important knowledge sharing event.

Our 10th anniversary will provide the opportunity to reflect upon our history and renew our commitment to the future. It will be an opportunity to discuss ways to improve existing programming and develop/introduce ideas for new programming and initiatives. Participants will be given the opportunity to share their research and best practices as well as have ample time to network with fellow participants to help further international efforts on their home campuses.

This year we will have two tracks:

Track 1 will be geared towards those who are directly involved with GPE activities (Teachers, Coordinators, and Technology Personnel). In a global knowledge economy the regional businesses and industries that will hire our students need employees who can effectively work and collaborate with constituencies throughout the world. The focus of this track will be preparing our students to succeed in that environment.

Track 2 will be geared towards Administrators and other interested parties. This track will focus on the important role institutions of higher education serve for fueling innovation, entrepreneurship, and job and investment creation and how forging relationships between education, industry, government, and community partners is vital to build healthy, vibrant and globally competitive regions.

Following the conference, there will be a cultural field seminar to Washington, DC. Please click on the links to the right for more information.

We hope to see you in Greenville in May!
